Domestic Violence: Cut Out Domestic Violence
Cut Out Domestic Violence is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence and to provide salon professionals with information on how to help clients who are victims of abuse.
Salon professionals learn facts and discuss myths about domestic violence, its signs, and how to discuss domestic violence with clients. Participants receive referral information on domestic violence and sexual assault programs in Virginia and a certificate of attendance.
Although the program provides information on domestic violence, it is not designed to train salon professionals to become domestic violence counselors. Salon professionals are not encouraged or required to report suspected cases of abuse.
