HEALTHCARE FRAUD AND ELDER ABUSE SECTION
MEDICAID FRAUD CONTROL UNIT

DUTIES:  Conducts complex investigations for the purpose of preventing fraud in social security administration's Title II and Title XVI disability programs and related federal and state programs.  Conducts surveillance, interviews witnesses and targets of investigations, participates and/or assists in undercover operations, testifies in court, and prepares detailed, accurate written reports.  Some overnight travel required.  This position will work out of the Richmond, Virginia office.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Degree in criminal justice, political science, law enforcement, or health care administration preferred.  Major course work in the criminal justice or medical administration field, or prior law enforcement experience, is preferred.  Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Candidates should have demonstrated computer proficiency with word processing and database management systems (Microsoft products preferred).  Criminal background check will be completed on successful candidate.
